High School Students

Services we provide for high school students:

Academic Advising: Be informed about your high school graduation requirements. Plan to take the correct high school courses and other requirements that will prepare you for college. Give you options to choose the college that is best for you.

College Campus Field Trips and Cultural Activities/Trips: Fun and exciting trips are made to local and out-of-town colleges to receive admissions information, and to be exposed to specific college environments.

Financial Aid Information: To get information on how to apply for money to attend college. Learn about grants, loans, work-study, and scholarships.

Assistance with college admissions and financial aid applications: Educational Advisors will provide a general overview of the different types of colleges and admission requirements. Furthermore, they will assist students to complete their applications.

Information and Assistance with College Entrance Exams (SAT I and II, ACT): To get information on which exam you need to take, and how and when to apply. If eligible, we can give you a fee waiver for the registration costs.

SAT Prep Classes: Sign up and enroll for our SAT I/II Prep classes to be held at one of the 4 target high schools. Our instructor will provide a general review of test subjects (such as math, science, reading) and provide test taking strategies. It's FREE!

College/Financial Aid Presentations for Parents: Provide general overview of the different postsecondary educational systems (UC, CSU, Community College, Private, and Vocational). Will inform parents about the federal (FAFSA) and state ( Cal grants) forms of aid.

Educational Resource Library: A library containing catalogs from colleges and universities in California, as well as throughout the United States is located at the AACE main office.

Bilingual Services: Services and reading materials are available in Spanish and Chinese.

Informational Newsletters: Fact sheets, newsletters, and other outreach materials for middle school/high school students, parents, and community service providers are disseminated during the school year.
