AACE Educational Services Talent Search

AACE - Talent Search program is one of three pre-college outreach programs of the Japanese Community Youth Council JCYC). Serving as its fiscal agent, JCYC is a 501(c)(3) organization and contributions are fully tax-deductible.

Your contribution will financially support these activities for our students:

$40 will pay for school supplies such as notebooks, pens/pencils, folders, and a calculator.
$100 will provide 1 month of snacks for 20 to 25 students during after school tutoring.
$650 pays for a charter bus to transport 40 students to visit a college campus.
$1,200 will pay for 1 month’s salary for one part-time tutor @ 20 hours/week.
$2,732 will cover registration fees for one academic year for one full-time student at most California State Colleges including SF State University.
$3,400 will pay for a 3 to 4 day SAT I test prep workshop for 25 students.

There are two ways to support the program – a cash donation and/or an in-kind gift:

2) Examples of in-kind gifts include:

School supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, calculators, highlighters.

Volunteer tutors for middle school students (grades 6th, 7th and 8th).

Part-time, after-school jobs for AACE TS high school students.

Paid full-time summer internships for graduating seniors.

Laptop computers for graduating seniors.
